The 1977 All-Star Game was played in front of 56,683 fans at Yankee Stadium. The American League was managed by Billy Martin and included Yankee starters Willie Randolph and Reggie Jackson. Graig Nettles, Thurman Munson, and Sparky Lyle also played.
The big story leading up to the first pitch was the feud between Martin and Nolan Ryan, who felt disrespected when he wasn’t originally selected to the team and refused to start after Frank Tanana couldn’t due to injury. Hall of Famer Don Sutton earned the win for the National League and was named MVP.
This 1977 All-Star Game Mega Ticket commemorates the occasion, is perfect for autographs, and makes a great gift.
