Clay Buchholz delivered one of Fenway Park ’s greatest moments since the 2004 playoffs when he became just the third pitcher in more than 100 years to throw a no-hitter during his first or second Major League start. The 23-year-old lefty from Texas baffled the Baltimore Orioles by mixing a variation of knee-buckling off-speed pitches along with a 90-plus mph fastball.
Buchholz, who threw 155 pitches, finished the night with nine strikeouts and three walks before a sold-out crowd of 36,819. If you were among the fortunate to witness Red Sox history, let our Ticket Frame Jr. capture the memory of being there.
