The 1975 Cincinnati Reds won 108 regular-season games and swept the Pittsburgh Pirates in the NLCS. The Big Red Machine advanced to play the Boston Red Sox in what has often been called the greatest World Series ever played. While the Reds got contributions from Hall-of-Famers Joe Morgan, Tony Perez, and Johnny Bench, Pete Rose was named MVP as Cincinnati defeated the Red Sox in seven games.
