The Grateful Dead and its extended family, 43 folks in all, took off for its Europe '72 Tour on April Fools Day. During the next two months, the band played 22 shows producing some of its greatest live material while its members traveled in two buses known as the Bozo Bus and Bolo Bus. The historic tour marked the final run for Ron "Pigpen" McKernan, the group's first leader and original front man. Europe '72 also yielded this classic, show-specific art work for each performance.
