1980 Led Zeppelin Chicago Stadium Ticket & Certificate
In 1980 Led Zeppelin announced their first U.S. tours in years to support their current album at that time, In Through the Out Door. Four November dates were announced for Chicago. On September 25th, 1980, the very same day that thousands of fans placed their ticket orders, Zeppelin drummer, John Bonham, tragically passed away. The Led Zeppelin era was over and the concerts never happened.
For six years the unused concert tickets sat in the now demolished Chicago Stadium until 1994 when a quantity were sold to collectors when the Chicago Stadium was torn down.
Now the remaining tickets are available to Led Zeppelin fans everywhere. These rare items are a tribute to the legend of Led Zeppelin and the frenzy they caused every time they came to the old Chicago Stadium
Ticket with cetificate comes shrink wrapped and is frame ready. It will fit in a standard 8x10 frame or and 11x14 frame if you choose to add matting. Certificate shows the Chicago Stadium seating chart with the section that the ticket was from highlighted.
