Kansas Jayhawks Game Day Ticket Frame - Football
The Jayhawks Athletic Department has had many of its alumni move on to successful professional careers including Wilt Chamberlain, John Riggins, and Gale Sayers. Chamberlain averaged 29.9 points and 18.3 rebounds per game during his two seasons in Lawrence (1956-1958) before dominating the NBA for 14 seasons. Riggins led Kansas in rushing three straight seasons (1978-1980) and went on to earn Super Bowl XVII and 1983 NFL MVP honors. Sayers, known as the “Kansas Comet,” was a two-time All-American who became NFL Rookie of the Year in 1965 and a five-time All Pro. All three are enshrined in their sport’s Hall of Fame.
