Opened in 1924, Tiger Stadium originally sat 12,000. Renovations in 1931, 1936, and 1953 brought capacity to 67,720. Today, it has seating for 92,400.
Tiger Stadium is affectionately known as "Death Valley" thanks to the loudness of its fans. It was originally tagged “Deaf Valley” but morphed into “Death Valley” over time. In 1988, when a last-minute touchdown beat Auburn (7-6), crowd reaction registered on a seismograph in LSU’s Howe-Russell Geoscience Complex; The event is known as the “Earthquake Game.”
If you’ve been fortunate to experience a significant moment at Tiger Stadium, let our Game Day Ticket Frame capture the memory.
